Understanding Europe offers free courses about the European Union for young people. These courses are prepared and given by a motivated team of volunteers, who find it important to educate the youth. We would like to introduce you to the team!
Understanding Europe Team
The role of the coordinator is to have a logistical oversight over the project in The Netherlands. The coordinator keeps close contact with the board of EYP the Netherlands, the Schwarzkopf Foundation, and the work of the Core Team. Luuk van Dongen
Luuk takes care of contacting and responding to all communications with the schools. He schedules the Crash Courses and communicates with the Core Team so the project can run as smoothly as possible.
Clemens takes care of organising team gatherings, contacting the team in case of a Crash Course, and making sure trainers get all the necessary information before a Crash Course.
The trainers are the people responsible for delivering the Crash Courses to the pupils. They get training on the content of the courses, and create the Understanding Europe experience for students. The team consists of:
